On May 5, 2015, Give Local America will connect more than 10,000 cities across the country for what will be dubbed as the nation’s “largest 24-hour crowdfunding event.” The second annual event provides critical funding for thousands of local non-profits through the crowdfunding platform, Kimbia. This year’s campaign gains even more momentum as two of the country’s leading communications firms join the movement and spread the word.

Horizon Media, the largest and fastest-growing privately held media services agency in the world, and MWW, one of the top-five global independent public relations firms, have partnered with Give Local America to drive participation among the business community, consumers and local non-profits. Both firms are well known for their commitment to innovation and proven track record of delivering big results for their clients. They have also earned the distinction as “Best Place to Work” businesses, recognized for their strong corporate culture and commitment to giving back through ongoing philanthropy and programs like Give Local America.
“We are excited to partner on this important initiative to help drive participation and momentum for the 2015 Give Local America event,” explained Rich Abend, Managing Director at Scout Wellness, the Health, Wellness and Cause marketing arm of Horizon Media. “Today’s most trusted brands invest in their local communities. Give Local America is the simplest way for companies and business leaders to make a measurable impact on a local level. Imagine what can be achieved, even solved, if businesses showed as much enthusiasm as individual donors. That is where Scout Wellness is able to help Give Local America to really engage businesses and to articulate this value proposition.”

Through this one-day national fundraising effort, Give Local America empowers individuals to give back to their local communities by supporting the organizations they trust to tackle today’s most critical issues.
