A new crowfunding campaign was launched this week for finishing touches onBatkid Begins, a documentary film that explores how five-year-old leukemia survivor Miles Scott went viral and became an international phenomenon last year.crowdfunding marketing
Directed by Dana Nachman, the film project follows the events leading up to theNovember day when Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation organized Scott’s wish to become Batman.

The original goal of Batkid’s day in San Francisco was for a few hundred people to show up to support Miles. Once news of the went public, more than 10,000 volunteers and 25,000 spectators assembled throughout San Francisco to cheer him on, including San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and Chief of Police Greg Suhr.indiegogo marketing
Batkid saved the streets from classic Batman characters the Riddler and the Penguin, rescuing Giants mascot Lou Seal. His adventure spread quickly on social media with the #SFBatkid hashtag and news of his heroics reached as far as the Oval Office, where President Obama recorded a message for Miles.kickstarter marketing
More recently, Batkid returned to his heroics when he threw out the first pitch before a Giants baseball game. Miles rode onto the field in a Batmobile dressed in his armor. His pitch was received by Matt Cain.
