![]() A comparison website that’s attempting to take the “hassle” out of car ownership has raised £300,000 in a crowdfunding campaign. Liverpool-based Dipstix, an MOT, servicing and vehicle repair comparison website, is now looking to expand nationally. It was founded in 2013 by David Cederholm, the former UK sales director of Just-Eat.
Promoted in part by Dipstix’s social media channels, investments to the campaign – hosted by crowdfunding website Seedrs – came from the UK and overseas. The business is already backed by current Just-Eat CEO, David Buttress and New Look founder Tom Singh. The company has also announced the launch of two new products – roadside recovery service Dipstix Rescue and Dipstix SurePass, a new way to protect a customer’s vehicle against any MOT repairs. Two further products – Dipstix Total Care and Dipstix Dealers – will be launching in the new year.
