The Hollis Foundation is a resource for teachers struggling to implement the new Common Core Standards in their classroom.

About this project

I have been a teacher for over 8 years, and I have searched high and low for an easier way to complete my lesson plans. After years of searching - there was still nothing that would give me the detailed lesson plans that were required by my school district, without spending hours at my desk. So, I decided to create a lesson plan form for myself. Something that was easy to use, and that would get the job done in a matter of minutes.

After nearly a year of hard work, the Digital Lesson Planner (patent pending) was born, and I am ready to bring it to the world.

The Digital Lesson Planner allows teachers to design detailed lesson plans completely online and then email them to themselves, or their administrators. These lesson plans are Common Core Aligned - and have been teacher and administrator approved.

Teachers should not have to spend hours outside of class slaving over lesson plans. Teachers should be free to do what really matters - TEACH!

Sample lesson plans can be accessed at www.digitallessonplanner.com

Risks and challenges

We need app development. Although We are pretty tech savvy - we need help with developing an app that will be easily accessed in all digital formats.

We need product development. Although We have finished forms for all of the Common Core Standards - English Language Arts and Mathematics grade, Kindergarten - 12th grade, we need support in writing the lesson plans for our Next Generation Science Standards.

That's right science teachers - the Digital Lesson Planner is in development just for you!

We need to advertise! What good is developing a sanity saving tool like the Digital Lesson Planner if we can’t spread the word?

So - join us in saving teachers across the U.S. by funding our project!
