Hi, my name is Marko. I'm an artist with more that twelve years of working practice specialized in line urban paintings and drawing. Also I'm a lighting sculptor working with plexiglas markogavrilovic.com
I could say that I’m developing my work through various art fields, mostly interested in contemporary art that is associated with design.
My new story is about a large back view of a man or a woman character, that is looking through the window of the future to this city landscape. It is always a mystery when you look at the person from behind. Feelings are hidden, because we can’t see their faces. What do they think about this? We can come to the conclusion only individually, but one thing is certain, sunrise comes with the answers. What I had in mind may not be the only view. Through my art I mostly want to engage the audience and this is especially true with this series. You are looking at the main character always from behind so you can only guess is he happy or sad. Businessman or waiter? The story is universal, playing with the current state of the viewer. By looking at my work I want you to look at your inner side.

What I find out with practice is that, when you work with your friends, family members and models, it becomes too predictable what a person is thinking when she or he is looking at some particular scene because I know them.
As this factor of mystery and the unknown is important for me, I knew that I’m at a lack of human figure models. So, I got this idea where I have to find new people, interested in art, that I don’t know personally and we could interact in this familiar but yet strange world, together.
Recently I got this solo show in Art gallery in Brooklyn to be held in the second half of 2015 and as I want to show totally new work inspired with New York, people and connection between our nature souls and our creations. To bring this concept to life, I started this new series with the larger main figure images. Previously those were city landscapes with people that are small in this detailed structures, measuring their existence through limited visual scales in comparison with a big picture. They represent only fragments of this city. Or we could say organism as this city is alive.
THE WORLD IS CHANGING AND WE CAN SEE THAT...BUT WHAT WE FEEL ABOUT THAT?
Is this some new beginning for us or something else?
SO...I'M LOOKING FOR MODELS WHICH I DON'T KNOW TO INTERACT TOGETHER ON THIS PROJECT. I WANT YOU TO BE A PART OF THIS PROCESS AND SHARE WITH ME YOUR IDEAS OF HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF IN URBAN SURROUNDINGS. YOU CAN SEND ME YOUR OPINIONS HERE ON THIS PLATFORM AND I'LL SEND YOU A FEEDBACK HOW I SEE YOUR VISION THROUGH MY ART.
The basic goal is to raise$2,500 to cover the cost of materials, art supplies, printing papers, colors, stretcher bars and travel expenses for this show. I will use this money to invest in the production of new art print series that will be in larger scales. The ideal goal is to raise $3,500. If I raise this amount I could pay professional shooting of the show and production of live painting film that I plan to present on the same exhibition. Any amount will help, and donations from $5 up will earn donor perks you can see the list to the right.
I hope that you will recognize yourself in the story and that we could share this idea together.

Good morning Mr. Raymond
Marko, I viewed your Craigslist post this morning. Your project has a powerful concept. I am a seventy year old man. I never lived in New York, yet my life depends upon that city. You can read full story on my blog here.
