The Story

Let's all come together!

On December 29th, 2014 my nephew Brian was discovered kidney stones after he was taken to the hospital with severe pain. Brian never told my sister, Adryana, about how sometimes he would feel a light and brief pain while he urinated until after he was taken to the hospital. After X-Rays of Brian's kidneys were taken, the then doctor pointed out that Brian had a "Medium size stone" that would not pass through due it's size. The doctor then explained that large stone was causing the intense pain.

The doctor explained that one of the best way to remove the stone was by treating it with a "Ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy". For those who are not aware of what Ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy is, 'During the procedure, the urologist passes a small scope through the urinary opening into the bladder, and from there up into the ureter, the small tube that drains urine from the kidney to the bladder. Once the stones are located, they are targeted with a laser that breaks the stone into smaller pieces, which are then extracted, or into tiny pieces of dust that wash out of the kidney with normal urine flow'.

At the moment we just have enough to just get by as it is. I have resorted to asking for help here because we simply don't know what else to do. Please, if you are able to support us we would greatly appreciate it. Any donation helps, there's no such thing as "too small". Thank you.
